  • Infrastructure – Creating new enhanced essential infrastructure which the UK needs to gear up to trade and compete in the global economy
  • Post Covid-19 Recovery – Participating in the post-Covid19 recovery by providing an infrastructure project with immediate development potential
  • Green Agenda – Supporting the green agenda by actively exploring opportunities for transitional and new green energy technologies such as hydrogen
  • Low Carbon – Striving for energy efficient options – TEP is in detailed discussions with a major low carbon occupier, an advanced biofuels company – and others for the energy hub

 

  • Local Regeneration & Growth – Delivering a wide range of significant economic benefits supporting and enabling local regeneration and growth plans like the Thames Estuary Growth Board’s ‘Green Blue’ initiative
  • Creating Jobs – Creating a new sustainable employment hub with up to 5,500 new jobs worth approximately £340m GVA per annum
  • Connectivity – Delivering extensive package of transport improvements both on and off site, which will be highly sustainable with investments for better road, rail, river cycling and pedestrian links connecting into  existing communities and the established transport network
